CONFLUX mag is an international community for young artists and writers of all kinds. The magazine accepts all forms of expression, with the hope that it will inspire others to create, as well as provide a space for feedback for those who are published.
3 PARTS OF CONFLUX
CONFLUX was founded two years ago by Julia Delmedico, a university student, as an initiative to showcase the work of young artists and writers in tandem. Orinally called DAZE mag, it has been renamed to CONFLUX mag.
Today, CONFLUX is an online publication dedicated to the confluence of ideas.
Using a submissions based approach, 3 issues have been published featuring the works of over 50 international artists, writers, musicians and film makers.
The works presented in the magazine are by artists from all levels of experience, age, and circumstance within an artistic framework.
Members of the CONFLUX mag team have included Mammad Mahmoodi, Markee Spreyer and Brandon Tan. If you are interested in getting involved with the CONFLUX project in New York City please write to with subject line CONFLUX TEAM.
The magazine is published using Edition Digital, a digital publishing platform that permits the use of multi media, transforming the publication into an interactive experience.
The site is used to archive the work of contributors.
Contributors each have a page with their work, a bio, and contact information.
Through this, we hope that readers and potential collaborators are able to contact artists and see a greater overview of their work.
Events / Community
As CONFLUX (previously DAZE Mag) is nearly two years old, a community of contributors has already started to form.
We have hosted one CONFLUX show in SoHo, NYC featuring the work of artists, musicians and video makers in a curated setting.
Now with the launch of this site we will continue to collaborate with spaces throughout NYC and update readers and collaborators on opportunities to showcase their work.
As CONFLUX has an international readership and submissions network we will also publish events and opportunities we hear about in relevant cities.
